Harpa Glass Facade - Reykjavík Iceland Architecture Photography
Free worldwide shipping · Made to order & shipped from a lab near you · Arrives in ~5–8 days (US) · Damaged? Free replacement.
The faceted glass facade of Harpa fills the frame, a grid of coloured hexagonal and rectangular cells reflecting and refracting the muted Reykjavík light. Opened in 2011 on the city's harbour, the concert hall and conference centre was designed by Henning Larsen with artist Olafur Eliasson, whose glass skin is modelled on Iceland's basalt columns. Depending on weather and angle the cells shift between green, amber, and steel blue. Architecture built as a wall of changing light.
