A fallen tree lies across a forest stream, the water curving slowly past its trunk. A downed tree in a creek is rarely just debris — these large woody features slow the current, trap sediment, and create the small pools and riffles that fish and insects depend on, which is why stream ecologists often leave them in place. The photograph uses a long exposure, smoothing the moving water into a soft, continuous blur against the sharp bark and the still rocks of the bed. The contrast between motion and stillness carries the frame — an ordinary woodland creek, slowed down until the water turns to silk.

Production 1–4 business days; delivery roughly 3–6 days in the US, UK & EU and 5–10 days rest of world, tracked. EU orders are produced within the EU, so no import duties apply.
Returns — Arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered? Email ingo@elfering.com within 30 days with photos and we'll send a free replacement — or a full refund if we can't replace it. Because every piece is made to order, we don't accept change-of-mind returns.
