A coin-operated tower viewer points across the New York skyline, the device every American tourist still feeds quarters to before looking through. The original Tower Optical Company patented this design in 1932 and has barely changed it since — cast iron pedestal, twin lenses, mechanical timer that runs the optics for roughly ninety seconds per coin. Most units have been retrofitted to take quarters instead of dimes; the lenses are still ground glass, and the whole thing weighs more than a person. Fine-art black and white sets the heavy metal silhouette against the city it faces. New York's least-changed piece of tourist infrastructure, pointed at the most-changed view in America.

Production 1–4 business days; delivery roughly 3–6 days in the US, UK & EU and 5–10 days rest of world, tracked. EU orders are produced within the EU, so no import duties apply.
Returns — Arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered? Email ingo@elfering.com within 30 days with photos and we'll send a free replacement — or a full refund if we can't replace it. Because every piece is made to order, we don't accept change-of-mind returns.
