A butterfly with eye-spotted, scalloped wings rests on the magenta bloom of a thistle, wings spread flat to the sun against a soft wash of green foliage. The open-winged pose is a deliberate act of thermoregulation — many butterflies bask this way to warm their flight muscles before they can fly. Thistles and knapweeds are rich late-summer nectar sources, drawing pollinators to their tight purple florets. A small exchange between insect and flower, caught at close range.

Production 1–4 business days; delivery roughly 3–6 days in the US, UK & EU and 5–10 days rest of world, tracked. EU orders are produced within the EU, so no import duties apply.
Returns — Arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered? Email ingo@elfering.com within 30 days with photos and we'll send a free replacement — or a full refund if we can't replace it. Because every piece is made to order, we don't accept change-of-mind returns.
