Cut flowers and bundled herbs crowd a stall at Borough Market, banked in loose heaps that fill the frame from edge to edge. Borough is one of London's oldest food markets — traders have sold produce near the south end of London Bridge for roughly a thousand years, and the present site beside Southwark Cathedral has operated since the 1750s. The black-and-white treatment trades the obvious appeal of colour for texture and tone, letting the curl of petals, the tangle of stems, and the worn timber of the stall carry the image. A working market caught on a quiet morning — abundance recorded in monochrome.
