Wildebeest and Zebra Aerial - Savanna Migration Wildlife Photography

Sale price$45.00
Material:
Size:

Wildebeest and zebra cut narrow dark trails through tall warm-light grass on the Serengeti floor, photographed from a low aerial vantage that flattens the plain. The two species migrate together for a reason: zebra crop the tougher upper stems first and wildebeest follow into the shorter regrowth, while the zebra's sharper sight and the wildebeest's larger numbers each contribute to detecting predators. Without the safety of the herd or the contrast of altitude, neither pattern would read at all; from above, the lines and dots resolve into a single moving graphic. A photograph of two species, one migration, and roughly two million animals on the move.
