Comcast Tower Glass Skyscraper - Philadelphia Architecture Photography

The mirrored facade of the Comcast Center fractures Philadelphia's sky into sharp vertical bands, the tower's glass skin acting as a single tilted plane against the clouds. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and completed in 2008, the 974-foot building was Pennsylvania's tallest at opening, inspired by Mies van der Rohe's minimalist towers. It held that title until 2018, when the neighboring Comcast Technology Center rose to 1,121 feet. The camera presses flush against the curtain wall, letting the polished silver geometry carry the frame without horizon or ground. The photograph captures Center City reduced to its essential element — light off engineered glass.
